ICON Central Laboratories recognizes
that most of our employees live in the same metropolitan area
in which they work. As such, the company and its employees
provide support to many worthy community programs and fundraisers.
Some of the events in which
ICON Central Laboratories employees have recently participate
include:
American
Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days –
Our employees raised over $500 for local healthcare facilities
to brighten the lives of cancer patients.
Leukemia
and Lymphoma Society’s Gelatin Slide
– ICON employees’ participation in this novel
and fun event raised nearly $4,000 to fund research.
Marcum
& Kliegman Workplace Challenge –
Some 40 ICON Central Laboratories employees participated in
this 3.5 mile wall/run to raise money for the Children’s
Medical Fund of New York and Skills Unlimited.
American
Cancer Society’s Breast Cancer Walk
– 25 employees helped the Long Island community raise
a total of $2.4 million for this worth cause.
Long
Island Cares, Harry Chapin Food Bank –
ICON Central Laboratories employees were asked to make a $10
donation per ticket to the company Holiday Party. This effort
raised over $2,000 to feed the hungry on Long Island.
Long
Island Blood Services Blood Drive –
ICON Central Laboratories sponsored a blood drive at its New
York headquarters facility that resulted in the collection
of 74 pints of blood – enough to save up to 222 lives. |
